1400 MW combined-cycle power plant on Bellara site – Jijel, Algeria


As part of the implementation of the new 1400 MW combined-cycle power plant project on the Bellara site in Biskra wilaya (province), Algeria, TERRASOL conducted a geotechnical study of the project on behalf of HYUNDAI E & C for the predesign of the foundations of the facilities of the future plant.

In addition to the definition of the soil testing campaign and the supervision of its implementation by a local company, TERRASOL has carried out:

  • geotechnical data interpretation,
  • definition of geotechnical parameters and assumptions,
  • evaluation of the most appropriate foundation technique, with pre-design of the foundations according to the current standards.

TERRASOL was also entrusted with the technical assistance to the contractor during the construction of the foundations.
