Update compatible with 64 bits systems |
For 64 bits version of TALREN 4:
- standalone keys need to be re-encoded (contact us to exchange your key)
- compatible with 32 bits systems
- key drivers need to be updated too
- only JAVA 32 bits must be installed on the computer (TALREN 4 is incompatible with JAVA 64 bits)
|
Latest update (v2.0.3) |
THIS VERSION IS A MAJOR UPDATE (from v1.14a or newer) BEWARE:
- it is compulsory to install the update JRE 1.6 so that Talren 4 v2.x works properly. If you haven't installed this Java update yet, you may download it using the link in the left column.
- Talren 4 v2 can read Talren files generated with previous Talren 4 . But files saved with Talren 4 v2 CANNOT be read with previous versions anymore. So you should make a copy of your existing prj files before opening them with Talren 4 v2 if you want to be able to open them again with Talren 4 v1.
Improvements
- Optimisation of speed and memory handling: operations are globally much faster (switching through phases and situations, loading/saving, output display, printing, etc) and computer memory doesn't get saturated anymore.
- Talren 4 files structure has been modified. A directory is now created for each prj file: project-DIR. This directory includes all temporary files handled by Talren 4 for each project file. But the prj file is the only necessary file when you want to send your project to another Talren 4 user.
- Additional calculation method available: yield design method (with logarithmic spirals). Additional information about yield design method.
- Correction of the user interface to make it compatible with Korean systems.
- Correction of soils deactivation problems.
- "Undo" option during geometry drawing (available only for mouse operations),
- Correction of the automatic position for the external water level (on the right side of the slope).
- Correction of soil properties "switches" on the model when reloading an existing prj file.
- Correction of the handling of strips parameters in the calculation kernel (qs safety factor, internal/external mode).
- Possibility to activate/deactivate superposed elements (reinforcements or loads: popup menu item in stages mode).
- Possibility to print all phases and situations at once.
- Correction of zoom level after calculation.
- Automatic display of the general settings dialogue box when creating a new project.
- Display of a gauge not only during calculations but also during loading of the result files.
- Possibility to import pore pressure meshed as text files (nodes and triangles).
- Various minor points.

v1.34 (07/03/2006) |
Improvements
- Graphical display of circles: when asking to display a range of values for F, the display of the corresponding circles is now correct even if some circles provide the result F = 999.
- Various hydraulic conditions from one stage to the other: correction of some punctual problems of reinitialization of the hydraulic conditions when switching from one stage to the other.
- English version: the legend for the curves of the qs wizard are available in english (instead of french).
- When loading Talren 97 files(.tal), the values of Xmin, Xmax and Ymax are calculated with 2 decimals.
- Beware: it is compulsory to install the update JRE 1.5 so that Talren 4 v1.33 works properly. If you haven't installed this Java update yet, please refer to the comments about update v1.23 below.

v1.33 (12/01/2006) |
Improvements
- Correction of punctual slowing down for given files when handling the geometry (deactivation of soil clusters, removal of points, etc).
- Correction of the display of polygonal failure surfaces 2 to n : their diaply was correct after calculation but not before (except for situation 1). The display is now updated when the failure surface is defined/changed.
- Beware: it is compulsory to install the update JRE 1.5 so that Talren 4 v1.33 works properly. If you haven't installed this Java update yet, please refer to the comments about update v1.23 below.

v1.32 (20/12/2005) |
Improvements
- Correction of the zoom level after the first calculation for a project (it was somtimes "blocked" at Ymax).
- Printing of the graphical page: shadings can be printed (if active on the screen).
- ru values are printed on the graphical page (in the soils table).
- Automatic calculation of the external water level: it is now performed as a function of the exact water level (without taking into account the grid spacing).
- Loading of .tal files (Talren 97): values of water pressures provided along polygonal failure surfaces are loaded properly even if values are double-formatted (instead of integers).
- Correction of the partial safety factor applied to pl if it is defined in the specific partial factors (soil properties).
- Correction of the display of design criteria for nails.
- Beware: it is compulsory to install the update JRE 1.5 so that Talren 4 v1.32 works properly. If you haven't installed this Java update yet, please refer to the comments about update v1.23 below.

|
v1.31 (20/09/2005) |
Improvements
- Printing of the graphical page: correction of automatic margins for inkjet printers (type HP 2600 or 2800 for instance).
- Printing of the graphical page: if patterns are selected rather than colors, the legend is displayed with patterns too.
- Addition of a new control on linear loads: their inclination should be in the range [0, 180°]. The value for Q can be either positive or negative.
- Correction of a display option for strips (choice of the weighting factor).
- All files should be saved when first switching to stages mode.
- Beware: it is compulsory to install the update JRE 1.5 so that Talren 4 v1.31 works properly. If you haven't installed this Java update yet, please refer to the comments about update v1.23 below.

|
v1.3 (11/08/2005) |
Improvements
- Printing of hte seismic accelerations on the graphical page.
- Beware: it is compulsory to install the update JRE 1.5 so that Talren 4 v1.3 works properly. If you haven't installed this Java update yet, please refer to the comments about update v1.23 below.

v1.23 (22/07/2005) |
Improvements
- Compatibility with Java Runtime Environment 1.5: beware, it is necessary to install JRE update 1.5 so that Talren 4 v1.23 works properly. To install JRE update, download the installation file with the link on the side. Then execute the file jre1_5_0_04_i586_p2.exe and follow default instructions.
- Note: to check your JRE version, check the name of the latest jre or j2re sub-directory in C:/Program Files/Java (or in the JRE installation directory in case it is different).
- If the latest sub-directory name includes a number like 1.4.xxxx, then you need to install the JRE update.
- If the latest sub-directory nape includes a number like 1.5.xxxx, then you don't need the JRE update.
- Correction of the calculation when taking into account struts inclined with an angle out of the interval [-90°;90°].
- Printing of the forces in the reinforcements in the case of polygonal failure surfaces.
- .tra files (temporary result files) are automatically deleted when closing a prj file (they are very space-consuming and it's not useful to save them).
- Warnings provided during calculation by the calculation kernel are now explicit (in the precious versions, they were only including an error number).
- Water unit weight: it is automatically and immediately converted when the unit system is changed (in the previous versions, it was automatically converted but only when validating the project dialog box).

|
v1.2b (25/05/2005) |
Improvements
- Correction of a problem related to the saving of a new file: in case the user saved his new file before being proposed to do so automatically, Talren sometimes switched some layers to substratum material when switching to the stage mode. This is now solved.
- Correction of some printing settings for very specific situations.
|
|
v1.19 (18/03/2005) |

- Comments defined in .tal files are read and displayed in Talren 4.
- Maximum comments size is bigger, and comments are printed in black color to make them more easy to read.
- Results are not deleted anymore when changing the grid size or the comments.
- TR is displayed in the nails summary table.
